Website and Domain Service Terms
Part A — Websites
A1. What is included and what it costs
- Included website. Each business subscription includes one website for that business: generation from your business information, revisions, hosting with SSL on a WhatTrust address, and connection of a domain you own. There is no separate monthly charge for this website while the business subscription is active.
- Additional websites. Each further website for the same business costs US$39 per month (plus any applicable tax), billed per website, monthly until you cancel, and starts only with your separate consent, shown before you agree (section A2.6).
- Not included.
- Domain names. WhatTrust does not sell, register or renew domains. If you want your own domain, you buy and renew it from a registrar of your choice and pay that registrar directly.
- Email on your domain. WhatTrust does not offer email mailboxes on your domain. You can send email to your CRM contacts from a Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox you already have (Terms, section 10.2).
- Paid third-party services, such as advertising, stock media you license yourself, or external tools.
- There is no setup fee.
A2. How it works
- Generation. WhatTrust creates a website for your business from information already in your business record (for example business name, offer, ideal customer, price, market and the facts you confirmed). It does not invent testimonials, client names, awards, certifications, statistics or results. You or the AI Business Agent can generate or revise it at any time; standard website work does not use AI agent credits.
- Revisions and versions. Each change is saved as a new version. You can request changes, restore an earlier version as a new draft, and compare versions.
- Private preview. You can open a full-screen private preview of any saved version. Only you, signed in to your account, can see it. Preview pages are marked so that search engines do not index them, and forms in a preview do not submit real enquiries.
- Your approval is required before publication. Nothing is published until you approve a specific version by ticking "I have reviewed the preview and approve publication." and confirming. If the website changes after your approval, you must approve the new version before it can be published. The AI Business Agent can ask you to approve, but cannot publish without your approval. We record each approval and publication.
- Publication and hosting. We publish the approved version on a WhatTrust address, served over HTTPS (SSL). We keep it running and serve only the version you approved. You can unpublish it, or publish an earlier version (which needs the same approval).
- Additional websites. If you want another website for the same business, after you approve it we ask whether you want to start its US$39 per month plan. It starts only if you explicitly agree by ticking a separate, unticked box that states the exact monthly charge (we record that consent), and becomes active only after your payment is verified. It never starts automatically.
- Your own domain. You can connect a domain you already own (section B1).
A3. Visitors to your website and enquiries
- Contact form. Published websites include a contact form. A visitor can send their name, email address, an optional phone number and a message, and must tick a consent box; we record the consent text shown and its version. Each enquiry is added to your CRM for that business as a contact, with its source, and creates a follow-up reminder.
- Spam protection. The form uses a hidden field to catch automated submissions and limits the number of submissions per website and per network address. We count blocked submissions; we do not keep the visitor's network address with the enquiry.
- Visits. We count page visits per website and day as totals, to show you usage. This count uses no cookie, no IP address and no visitor identifier.
- Your role and ours. For your website's visitors, you are the controller of their personal data and WhatTrust processes it on your behalf as your service provider (processor), only to provide the Service to you (Privacy Policy, section 7). You must give your visitors any privacy notice your law requires, for example on your website's privacy page, and you must respond to their requests.
- Enquiries are not customers we provide. Your website's contact form collects enquiries from visitors that your own marketing and search presence attract. A website does not guarantee visitors, enquiries or sales, and WhatTrust does not provide customers or leads (Terms, section 3.2).
A4. Your content and responsibilities
- Content you provide. You must own or have permission to use any text, images, logos and other content you upload, provide or approve. Uploaded images are limited in size.
- Generated content. We generate content and a business identity (for example layout, colours and a symbol) from your information. You must review it before approving, including:
- claims about your products, services, prices and qualifications;
- legal pages your business needs (for example your own privacy notice, terms, imprint or licence numbers);
- industry-specific statements.
- You are the publisher. You are responsible for what your website says and for your business's compliance, including consumer-protection, advertising and earnings-claim rules, accessibility, and privacy and cookie rules for your visitors.
- Acceptable use. Your website must not contain illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful content, malware or phishing, or fake reviews or testimonials (Terms, section 7).
A5. Fair use of the included website
- The included website is intended for normal small-business, professional-service, portfolio and lead-generation websites. It is not unlimited application hosting, video streaming, mass file distribution or infrastructure for resource-intensive products.
- If a website's use goes well beyond normal small-business use, we will contact you first, explain what we observed and agree a solution with you. We will not charge you automatically for usage.
- We may limit or suspend traffic that is abusive or malicious, or that threatens the security or availability of the Service.
- You can see your website's monthly usage (visits, estimated data transfer, publications, revisions and enquiries) in the Service.
A6. Ownership and export
- You own your content and the website content generated for you, subject to third-party licences (for example fonts or images, where used) and our rights in our templates and design components (Terms, section 8).
- You keep ownership of your domain. It is registered with your own provider, in your name; WhatTrust does not register or hold it.
- Export. Export my data (Privacy Policy, section 10) includes the content and saved versions of your websites, and your connected domains, as structured data (JSON). It does not produce ready-to-host website files.
A7. Hosting responsibilities
- We will host your website with reasonable care and skill. We monitor the Service and fix faults that are within our control.
- We are not responsible for outages caused by your domain registrar or DNS provider, by DNS changes you make, or by third-party platforms you connect.
A8. Term and cancellation
- Included website. It is part of your business subscription and has no separate term. If that subscription ends, the included website stays published until the end of the period you have paid for, and then stops being served on a domain you connected.
- Additional websites renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel each one at any time online in the website's billing section. Cancelling stops its renewal; no automatic refund is issued for the rest of the period; it stays published until the end of its paid period, then stops being served on its domain. Cancelling one website's plan does not affect your other websites or your business subscription.
- No minimum term. No minimum duration applies unless you have expressly agreed to one before purchase. A 12-month website agreement has been considered but is not active.
- Cancelling an additional-website plan does not cancel your business subscription. Cancelling a business subscription does not automatically cancel that business's additional-website plans; cancel them separately if you no longer want them.
- Failed payment of an additional-website plan. The plan becomes past due and its website stays on its domain until the end of the paid period.
A9. Refunds
- Work already performed and periods already paid for are not refunded for change of mind. Cancelling does not trigger an automatic refund (section A8).
- If we cannot fix defective work within a reasonable time, we refund the affected month of an additional-website plan, or give the remedy in the Subscription, Refund and Cancellation Policy for the included website.
- Billing errors, duplicate charges and unauthorised charges are refunded.
- Statutory rights apply (Subscription, Refund and Cancellation Policy, sections 5.7 and 9).
A10. Removal and suspension
We may unpublish a website or stop serving it on your domain if it breaches the law or the acceptable-use rules (Terms, section 7), if it receives a valid legal notice (for example a copyright takedown), or if its use threatens the security or availability of the Service (section A5). We will tell you why where we lawfully can, and restore it when the problem is fixed.
Part B — Domains
B1. Connecting a domain you already own
- WhatTrust does not sell, register, transfer or renew domains. You remain the owner of your domain and you remain responsible for your registrar account, its contact details, renewals and the registrar's fees.
- To connect your domain, we give you the DNS records to add at your DNS provider. Before your website goes live on your domain, we check that you control the domain's DNS (ownership verification), we check that HTTPS works, and we ask for your explicit approval to go live. We record that approval.
- Going live on your own domain requires that the website is published and that it is either your business's included website with an active business subscription, or an additional website with an active plan.
- We do not take control of your registrar account. You can disconnect your domain at any time; when your account is deleted, connected domains are disconnected from WhatTrust hosting. After disconnection, you should update your DNS records so that the domain no longer points to WhatTrust.
B2. Domain costs
Domain registration and renewal are third-party costs you pay to your registrar. They are not part of your WhatTrust subscription and are not refunded by WhatTrust. If your domain expires, your website stops being reachable on it; WhatTrust is not responsible for that outcome.
B3. Disputes about a domain
You are responsible for choosing a name that does not infringe others' rights. If a domain dispute decision (for example under the UDRP) or a court orders a transfer or cancellation, your registrar will act on it. WhatTrust is not liable for that outcome, except where it results from our own error.
